Might be worth showing to new riders/drivers

And then there's this one from Earache. I would have been there that day, had I not been asleep in the motel back in Ouray....:doh

That's a really good videa Bisbee and as you say, should be shown to all new cyclists/drivers/riders. People have absolutely no clue about large vehicles and how they need to use the road and maybe something as simple as this would at least make them think twice before going for the gap!

interesting...but it also highlighted wanky driving by a couple of those truckies ( acknowledging this being an Aussie film :D ). For instance that last sequence at the traffic light, the truck driver should have swung further to the left before commencing his turn. Just laziness that he didn’t. Don’t know how it goes these days, but during my (prehistoric) training we were taught to be well aware of where our rear wheels were tracking …….don’t get me started on lane discipline…….:P

It was a B double FFS! He did all he could.

In he first clip they seem to have forgotten the two second rule, or is that just a UK thing?

Don't be so daft....all vehicles over 7.5 tonnes and all white vans are exempt from such nonsense...in the interests of maintaining momentum, reducing fuel costs by slip streaming and generally having to change gear or ease off the gas.....

Fuck me , how bright do you need to be, you could see what was about to happen before the manoeuvre was made.Being a biker i would have though being proactive rather than reactive would be a natural reaction for your own well being. It,s no good being in the right if your brown bread, or shitting into a bag for the rest of your life.
