On my anual pilgrimage to the UK (to see the oldies) I decided to treat myself to a new lid. I've done lots of research before I left and decided on an Arai Condor in the St George colours. I'd noted that helmets seem to be cheaper in the UK then here in Germany and asked the Tossers for a list of shops in the Lincoln area. Bought a Bike mag on arrival and saw the SHARP test list that placed the Arai Condor with just two stars! Hmmm. Tried a few lids with 5 star ratings. AGV=pants, same for the Shark. Didn't feel comfy and the overall quality just didn't cut the mustard. Reading the website and the mag article I don't get it. I am smart enough to know that theres more to a good helmet than feel and a good paint job. But the test did not seem to address the buckle system or the chin piece strength, and having had a good face down slide once I do not want to repeat the test. Bought the Condor (in Neevsey scheme). Well impresed. Comfy, low noise, good visor and double d rings. All for £210. Thing is how valid is this SHARP test? How will Flip ups pass? How strong are the seat belt or ski boot type strap mechs?:nenau

Read the same article yesterday and will be sticking with my Arai, although the idea seems excellent, why are they not disclosing the methods they are using to test? Seems a bit pointless leaving doubt in peoples minds...
