Sheepskin but pads and red seats?

IIRC one of the sheepskin buttpad suppliers mentioned on ADVrider specifically warns about colour transfer on their site, so I suppose the answer is Yes.

seat pad

My mate had one and after a week of use and one downpour the colour did transfer onto his seat, he has tried everything but is stuck with it.

Ditch the sheepskin and get a Melvin Hunter seat, worked for me :)

oi whatton , beat you to it -sod it just a couple seconds in it

Does anyone know if sheepskin but pads transfer any dye onto red seats?

John

So what if it does!!! it all adds character to the bike :D :D

Hmm, I wouldnt normally be bothered but I just picked up a brand spanking new red seat on ebay for £60 :(

I take it that only the cream ones arent dyed?

John

My bet is that the sheep coloured ones are un-dyed

what about black sheep ?

do they dye those cream ?

Peroxide Ewes, cheap Cardiff slapper livestock :)

Well I spoke to Barb last night (sorry to hear she had her own GS stolen recently :() and after telling her the seat was red she said she would make sure that she gave me pads that were very unlikely to transfer dye, no matter the colour :wave so I chose charcoal, not sheep colour :D

£60 with the discount, a bargain unless HMG robber barrons stiff me at the front door :spitfire
