Next years US conferance........Vegas....oh dear....

Better start working that one from Christmas.....Lake Tahoe anybody...:thumb

Oops.

I'd call that adventuring. Always hate to see bear cubs when hiking 'cause momma's never far away.

She made it very clear that backing off, turning round and going the over way was the right option....I took a picture, but it just looks like a black blurry lump (Bigfoot style) ...I also saw Chipmonks and I'm fairly certain I saw a skunk?? Is that possible? Are the Skunks in the hills?

Skunks are everywhere around this area. I see as many at our in-town home as our location out of town. Mostly out in the evening and night. Totally harmless if you just ignore them. My biggest concern is that our dog or cat will go after one (again). Are there no skunks in England?

This was early evening.. Result!:D

As for Skunks in England, no not as a native mammal.

But as Mr Shep alludes.......we do have plenty of "Skunks"......

It was registered May 2013, so 8 weeks old... 3,500 miles on collection.

Being tall the first issue I had was the new bucket style seat that holds you in place, I prefer the older style seat that allowed a little movement..but not really the bikes fault....

Stock exhausts are very quiet, but over longer distances it was nice not listening to the sonic boom...

I felt the 17" front wheel and 180 section rear plus the other handling mods like the front upper mount really improve the handling, certainly over my 96 EVO.. I was able to get a very confident ride on the mountain roads... The brakes where good, although i found the rear locked too easily........

Power was well, harlyesque.. But the 103 cu motor pulled well, and I was not left lacking... Super, super smooth at IS speeds (80mph):D my riding buddy was complaining of vibration on his DYNA... I had none...... Cutting the rear cylinder in 33 degree heat was useful in traffic... Overall impressed, the quality of finish looked good......the litmus test... Would I spend £18.5k.....plus another £1k on Accutronix Forwards and a Le Pera seat..... Probably if I had it spare.... But I do not.... So problem solved....

Gotta agree with your assessment of the seat and Pingu's of the gearing. My friend just bought a 2011 RK Classic. I haven't ridden it but just sitting on it I felt the seat was overly dished positioning me too close and low. Not like my 09 Standard at all. Gearing is just right.

The seat would have to go.. it pushed me too far forward, the result being a bunching up of my jeans in my groin.... i needed to stop far too often to stand up and untangle my nuts.......

The gearing was great i thought and the 6th super smooth at highway speeds... given the choice though i would have a Street Glide with forwards and and aftermarket seat..... Vivid Black.... if anybody is thinking about my looming 50th....

8 weeks old.... 3,500 miles...... inside of quick release rack..... acceptable.... 18k bike.... err no.....
