Shock rebulid in Glasgow

Anybody know of a place that can rebuild a rear shock preferably Glasgow, but happy to travel ?

Hi Roddy, dont know if this'll be any use to you -
Seen your post the other night so l spoke to someone re this and they told me about MPG who's behind the Ducati dealership in Great Western Road (this guy works for race teams etc, is quoted)

Dropped past his place & told him of your post, he aint taking on any more work just now as he's working abroad a lot (races) but suggested

www.K-tech.uk
01283 559001

Their in Derbyshire! he suggested you contact them, tell them what you want & send it to them, he rates them road or off road.

hope it helps if you cant find anyone

Cheers :thumb2

The previous owner of my RSV had K-Tech do their work on the factory fitted ohlins and rated them very highly, as does anyone who I have spoken to.

Gav- I was supermotoing the GSA with Cast wheels and lower GS shocks, now I've stuck the original GSA shocks back on, I'm not in any hurry to get the GS rear shock rebuilt, just in case you where awaiting a report of sorts :)

Though talking to a few biking buddies and general search it would seem K-Tech or ABE are the chaps to use, I was just hoping for a more local engineering works that could have dealt with it, to save on the hassle of packaging everything up to send down south

The local Ohlins service agent is Grant Racing at Knockhill.

Just had a reply from K-Tech, I asked them if they did a fixed price repair for the standard Showa GS shock

----------
Unfortunately the std Showa shocks fitted to the BMW's are not designed to be taken apart.

Best Regards

Give ABE a bell as I'm sure I've read Steptoe's had shocks rebuilt (though I think it was an 1150 shock ?), and I'm sure there website states they can re-gas shocks
