Cant beleive it, went to Clay Cross today near Chesterfield and picked up a brand new Shoei Hornet in flat silver for £130!

Rode home with it on with the 3-4 week old system 6 in the top box!

It is the dogs danglies. I am on my 3rd system 6 (warranty) the current one being just 3 weeks old. It doesn't seem to be relaxing like the others and is a bit tight still and gives me a headache.

The Hornet DS is great, no wind noise, better perferal views, a bit more room on the chin. I was concerned live savers would rip my head off at speed, needent have worried its as good as the BM helmet. A bit more wind nosie coming from under the chin piece, but I have just fitted the optional chin curtain that came with it, that should reduce that.

I have just done 100 miles A roads, B roads and motorway. Absolutley no problems. I haven't done rain yet, so dont know if it will mist up, it does come with a pinlock visor though.

I bought it as a second helmet, I'm thinking this is now my main helmet.

So if it doesn't steam up in the wet the system 6 will be for sale. (Plain silver, size 58/59. 3 weeks old as new still under warranty until Dec 2011). I'll advertise it in the for sale section once I have tested the Shoei in the wet. OIRO £270 I would imagine.

Sounds good. :thumb

Don't suppose you noticed if they had a white hornet in a large size for the same price??

Looks smart, but I assume your fecked if you wear glases :nenau

I suppose it depends on your glasses. I wear my Pentax Titanium flexible frames all the time on the bike, even under goggles; although I am currently looking for some RX inserts to hold prescription lenses inside my Scott goggles.

I bought my DS as a second helmet too PB but have used it almost exclusively ever since. It's a great lid.

I have had no problems at all with misting in the pinlocked DS but my system 5 was a feckin nightmare for fogging up.
