Thinking of buying a Shoei Syncrotec II from Race Visors dot co dot uk... they have them for £250 plus a free spare genuine visor... No, I don't work for them!

Any of you guys/girls got one?

What do you think of it?

Currently own a BMW Systen 4, so that will be it's comparison.

(I'll be using it with a autocom headset)

Thanks all :D

I've got 3! 2 for work, one for not at work and they are all very good. Extremely comfy (although I do have a Shoei shaped head) and excellent ventilation and vision. Be warned though, they are noisy on the motorway but then so are all helmets in my experience. Earplugs solve that problem. They also now come with all the bits and pre-drilled holes for a Pinlock visor insert thingy (stops fogging) although I've never bothered putting mine in.

Shoei Helmet

Too late, went to buy on of these at the weekend, no shops I tried had any in stock, stating there wasn't a demand. Ended up with a silver Shoei XR1000. Seems like if you want a plain colour lid the choice is limited, plenty of 'Relicas' available but plain black not a chance.

I agree that the Synchrotec is comfortable.

The vents are just about acceptable.

The lid is noisy at speed, but then all flip-front helmets are.

Takes a standard CX1 visor, so it's easy to get tinted, mirrored or iridium coated visors.

I got mine for £125 in last summer's Infinity sale.

I still prefer the Shoei Z-One, though.
