Has anyone used one of these and if so has it worked? I find this a very comfortable helmet but very noisey on the GS. Your comments appreciated

One of my mates (a GSXR1000 rider) has one on his XR1000 and he says its brilliant, it greatly reduces noise. Probly less drafty in the winter too.

I’m gonna try and fit one to my XR900 if I can….

I have one, but after only a few journeys removed the rear portion leaving only the chin curtain as I was overheating.

With the strip fitted I found my helmet a real pain to get on. It's a tight fit as it is.

Noise wise, I only noticed a small reduction.

I may refit it in the winter for its warmth retention properties.

Got the front part(of the whisper strip) today, fitted and off for a ride- I still can't hear my music, or myself think over about 70, not that I'm ever over the speed limit you understand. Came back home and went out using my old Arai Giga, still noisy, like enough to make my ears ring after 50 miles using good qualiy ear plugs. Next step, take Mrs. Mixer's (naked) Bandit out tomorrow, if it's quiet with the Shoei, and I think it may be, then the noise is coming from the bike. I feel a de-screen and maybe a de-beak coming on, but I must admit I got used to the wind protection of a a screen and don't fancy going back to wind-blast and needing Mike Tyson neck muscles!
