Shoei XR1100 & RAID2 with Bluetooth intercom

Hi

Does anyone have any experience of fitting a Bluetooth intercom to either an XR1100 or Raid 2.

I have been recommended Cardo Scala. The SHO-1 is obviously designed for Shoei, but is significantly more expensive than their other models.

I was wondering if anyone has successfully fitted any of the other models to their Shoei's. In particular I was interested in the G9 and G9X.

Mainly I want it for rider to pillion use, with occasional link to other riders in my group.

I have just ordered a Cardo Packtalk so I will soon be selling my SHO-1 kit that is boxed with all accessories and manuals plus it has a brand new speaker wiring kit.
I was going to advertise it as soon as the Packtalk turns up.

Hi Zum,

Yes I have had Cardo G9 in an XR1000, XR1100 and a Neotech. As with all these things a bit of patience and trial and error will see you with a good fitment that allows for effective use. Always be careful with the removal of linings, it will take a couple of goes to get the speakers 'just right', as this has a huge affect on the overall performance, but you will end up with a tidy and discreet fitment. I always use the boom mike.

I can't comment on any benefits from using the Shoei specific fitment.
