Thanks for the above info just a thought do the
tolls and fuel stations accept apple pay ?

French tolls certainly take contactless

fuel stations, some do but there are a lot of older pumps around, just like the UK, that only have a conventional chip & pin card reader. As mentioned already, always have a back up including a physical card and a bit of cash just in case there is an outage like we had recently where cards from some banks did not work but others were fine.

Good mixture of roads some that really make you concentrate
Lovely weather great company, what more can you ask for
Raining ️ gently at the moment but drying up later so we’re out for a ride somewhere today .
When you get to the toll point, don’t assume that the green arrow means bikes are free I rolled up to the back of Wapping the barrier went up and so we went , got a bit further down the road to the next toll point and the very clever machine was asking me to insert my ticket .err what ticket bit of explaining on the intercom some Apple Pay and off we go again
Their big roads are absolutely lovely to ride on great surface very quiet for traffic volume so you can relax and enjoy the views .

You haven’t been away into the Euroland for sometime or indeed used a tolled motorway before, have you?
