Shortcuts

Last week when I turned my pc on there were 4 new "shortcuts " on the main screen,one for an on line casino! I am the only one with access to the pc so I have no idea how they arrived.
i stuck them in the recycle bin and ran my anti virus thingy to find a trojan in there which was deleted.
Just turned the pewter on again to find the shortcuts back again, anyone any ideas where they are from and how they get there and are they up to no good?
