Should I swap Beta Alp 350 for GS650?

'nother newbie here - joined to gen up on the GS650's

I run around town on a fab Beta Alp 4 (suzuki 350 engine) which is the perfect urban bike - ultra light, narrow, torquey - but not so good for the 60m commute each way twice a week I'm about to start, so am thinking of changing for a GS650.

Those old Suzuki GS650's aren't much better for commuting, have you thought about a BMW F650GS, more reliable and better fuel consumption.......

Just saw your pic of the Beta Alp and don't have a GS650 to swap but also notices a dog in the background!! Is it a Vizsla?? What other bikes would you consider??
