Well I have to admit to now seeing the advantages of GPS.
Before going over to Belgium the other day I popped in a few addresses and waypoints, I came off the ferry, told it to take me to the B&B and it took me straight to the door. Used it to get from place to place, flippin fantastic, it even took me to a Mcdonalds when I asked it.
Even having it routing home from Dover was good, switched off the voice as I knew where I was going but having that time check on arrival time when you are pushing on for a reason was very handy.
Oh and I didnt bother in taking a map :thumb2

still good to take a map to see the bigger picture when planing the next days ride over a pint or two before programing the gps:thumb2

We only ever use a map.....well nick does, not got around to purchasin a sat nav set up. Did borrow one the other wk when we went up north for his works and was pretty impressed :D

I agree and if I had been going for anything more than 3 days I would have but everything I wanted to see were very close together.
I think planning is definately best done on the map.
