Show current speed in App? Am I being stupid?

Hey all,

Am I being stupid? I can't for the life of me work out how to show current speed in the App?

I don't have a TFT screen.....so have the vehicle info in the App itself which seems to work great - except I can't find a current speed option.

Phone is connected via the BMW Cradle and the app shows lots of bike info such as Gear, Tyre Pressures, Average Speed, Top Speed, Outside Temperature etc.....

But for the life of me I can't find the option for the tiles to show current speed? What am I missing? When I had my NavVI it showed a lot of the same info, but I could set a tile to current speed.......this seems to be missing on the app?

Any help would be appreciated.

Ha ha, yes it works just fine, but glancing down to analog in a digital world just messes with my brain ha ha. I can display speed in the digital section of the bikes clocks, but its pretty small.

Seems odd that the speed can be displayed on the NavVI but not on the BMW App in the cradle, as it has tiles for pretty much everything else.....so I assume I am missing something obvious.

I use the Amigo app for speed camera warnings. If set to “overlay” mode it shows just your current speed and the speed limit in a small window on top of whatever other app your phone is currently displaying. It works well with the Connected app. It still warns of speed cameras, and as an added bonus it can be set to open up automatically when your phone connects to other Bluetooth devices, eg your intercom unit.

Doesn't TomTom stop showing speed cameras in France still (I know they use to)?

Waze gets round it by calling it something else

I am glad you mentioned this as I've downloaded the tomtom app mentioned above and that seems to do the trick. You can get digital speed on our GS but you toggle it as your top number in the adjustable bit. I wish the connected ride app displayed speed in digital directly fed from the bike.
