Black (Street) Bob (back to original apes + 2")

More fun to ride than you might think ........... small kids and old blokes seem to love it..... everyone in between thinks I'm some kind of old f**t. Ah well. High mini-ape bars I just put back on (with 2" risers) are (bizarrely) comfortable.

I think it needs another set of fork gaitors between the triple trees :D

Quite scary reading this thread as I start to really like the idea of having a Harley. Got an anniversary GSA and an original FireBlade which never gets a look in. Is it an age thing that the older you get the more attrative:eek a Harley becomes??

This is a great thread, I like Big Twin hd's (i've had a couple of sportsters before and I've learn't my lesson:nenau)

Trying to find the one picture I have of my old Fat Boy, I also owned an old shovel from the 70's, that was a little more involving to ride but was so unreliable it was embarrassing. The Evo wins hands down IME

Can't wait to get another but they are a bit lumpy to drag on and off the boat and a bit too desirable to the tealeafs to leave parked up on the streets for weeks, so i'll just have to be patient

A road king would be nice, a bit tatty and a nice free breathing engine would do the job:thumb2

If you find the one that's right for you, they're not too bad at all as an ownership and riding experience.

Bought mine from new over 3 years ago and am still loving it. I really enjoy the GSA but the Harley is the other side of the coin altogether .... vibey, chunky, clunky even but not at all as slow as you'd think.

N'nF .... I'll get them gaiters sorted ! ;)

I saw this American Iron the over day while waiting for my MOT at Eastern cruisers if your into V8 trikes :D

got to say ,i had a 1200xr sportster ,and loved it for short journeys ,round town etc.
infact i wouldnt mind another one .
thats after another gs aircooled, an old triumph and an xr600r/cagiva elephant

Here's my newly acquired Gnarley, a 16 year old Road King with 80k miles on the clock.. minter than a mint thing.

That chicken on the front mudguard is going to have to come off... and the BBQ rack that's bolted to the rear. Problem is to remove the rack I need to fit back on the original part (47440-92) which I don't have and is no longer made :blast

Nice bike Paul, I'm sure you'll find a source for the part easy enough. There are some breakers in the US that have everything :thumb

My Road King

Here's my modest little shopping bike. (The Airhead gets kept for best!).
