Show us your Harley

Here's my newly acquired Gnarley, a 16 year old Road King with 80k miles on the clock.. minter than a mint thing.

That chicken on the front mudguard is going to have to come off... and the BBQ rack that's bolted to the rear. Problem is to remove the rack I need to fit back on the original part (47440-92) which I don't have and is no longer made :blast

:clap:clap

same as my 95 one -

is it carb or inj ?

i need to lose the rack as well - but the no plate attaches to it - what do you need to do it ?

mine has staintunes and a K&N - seems to pull really nicely - got 150 kmh out of it the other day :)

so - are we getting a harley or 1340 section ?

Yep, mine is a 95 Evo too... carb :thumb2

I'm pretty sure the part we need is 47440-92, it is a loop that bolts to the rear frame, the pannier mounts bolt to it and the number plate mounts on it also. This place seems to sell them but won't ship outside of the US... but I'm sure there are folk here who could help out with the shipping :thumb

150kph is that without the screen  I seem to have found a natural 'rhythm' around 60mph.... at that speed I just smile and chill....

150k was downhill with no screen :)

but it was a test just to see - i mostly cruise around in top and 60 k's

try this place for a USA address http://www.shipito.com/

works perfectly :thumb2

Is that a 'Zero Engineering' bike? Dead groovy but I'm not sure I'd want to spend all day on it. But then I doubt Monsieur Beckham will put too many miles on it!
To be fair on him though I think he done good not getting a pillion seat!

This is my favourite so far ... what model, year etc is it?

Nice one Paul, hope its got a proper low tickover:thumb

You don't want to set it too low on an Evo by all accounts. The oil pump output aint great at too low an idle speed and starves the top end. The shovels/Panheads etc could handle it but not the Evo/Twin Cam unless you uprate the oil pump. Someone cleverer than wot I is may be along shortly to tell me I'm talking bollocks! But that is as I understand it.

potato, potato :D

(never could work out what the feck they were on about...)

Ha ha, my wife used to go on about that... she gets it now... like this :thumb2
