Show us your Harley

I'm envious of your fork legs......where they polished before mimgobi dotseekie hit you?

I had to look back to the first posted picture to check :D

My insurance has sent me a copy of Mr efeanyichukwn ( real name by the way) statement denying all liability.
Apparently after cutting across a three lane road he stopped at 180 degrees across two lanes to let a pedestrian cross the road he was intending to turn down - " i swung around the corner at full speed and continued to accelerate all the way until i hit his car".
No way was he to blame, he's the victim of "A motorcycle riders enthusiastic and flagrant disregard for a carriageway"

He also twice mentions the intense and heavy traffic. - the same traffic that i seem to have completely missed as i sped full speed around the corner -
So let me see, Full speed around a corner on a 20 year old Harley in solid traffic. :D

Oh and he says after hitting him at full speed, the only damage caused to the motorcycle was a broken indicator lens. - in fact none of the indicators or lights were damaged.

More paperwork and letter writing .....

Nice, although it would look better without the gay bags IMHO......

Yer right :bow I did have it without the bags, but put em back on for agreed valuation quote at Harley shop. They are handy though if yer going any distance and need some carrying space. I've been looking for some system of quick release hangers for the bags so I can use it without them for most of the time it does just look miles better without em......... :thumb2

HD do quick release kits for most things, even the Tour Paks on Ultras :nenau

chap at the dealer told me how they do it, paint stripper on the fork legs to get the lacquer off, then rub down with wire wool, then solvol autosol to achieve that polished look. I did it once to a blackbird I had as they suffer with it as well, hard work but you can make them look like chrome, or with a bit less solvoling achieve that brushed steel look:thumb
