Tiger 955i

Picked this up last August was missing having a dual sports since selling my R1100GS.
Totally different beast from a GS has loads more midrange stomp out of corners, doesnt have the solid planted feel of an old GS and is a complete pain in the arse when it comes to maintinence, but not a pain in the arse when it comes to the seat :D

Lately, I've gone from GS BM's via a Harley to end up at this for now.
To say it is fast and torquey doesn't even start to describe it - its Brutal...and bloody good Fun too.
Carries its weight very well - you don't notice it at all due to the very low seat height.
Needs slightly softer rear springs, as its a bit harsh but it handle surprisingly well.

I'm liking it so far..

I don't know what model this is.... I'll guess it's 250 Cub based... Absolutely beautiful. Do you get it muddy? I hope so...

I bought it a couple of weeks ago, 1954 Tiger Cub frame with a 1964 T20 trials engine, bored out to 250. Rebuilt in 1997 by the previous owner, who hardly used it since! Just working my way through it at the moment making sure everything is as I want it, then assuming that I manage that it's first Trial will be on 15th of May. Going practicing on Bank Holiday Monday, so it will be getting muddy enough then after this weather!

How did the trial go today. Hope you enjoyed it. I was riding my bantam in the wonderful Lincolnshire Wolds today in a pre 65 trial.
A grand day out with a good turn out of riders, im sure the weather helped.

Very well thanks, will stick some photos up on the "trials" section later. :thumb

Well after considering another Harley, I also had a trip to Bill Smith's Chester Store and this is the result - my very first Triumph.
Picked her up on Saturday and first ride out yesterday. Very impressed so far and the shorter pipes sound really lovely.

That's a stonking engine in the Thunderbird Storm sadly allied to some pretty shite suspension

Still, it's easier/cheaper to sort out the suspension than it would be to give the motor more oomph so it's a :thumb2 from me

What would you do to the suspension - without affecting the warranty of course?
