why did they make the side stand on the 1100 2" too short, would a 1150 fit?

I bolted a piece of 20mm thick plastic to mine, job done in 10 minutes

check out e bay , purchase ice puck ,fit to bike stand three bolts thru , problem sorted plus no more worries regards soft ground and top heavy bike with full luggage , sits just right , best cheep mod ,

Would someone mind posting a picture of said hockey puck attached to side stand and, if possible a photo showing the side and centre stand in the up position so I can see how you've fixed the puck to the side stand and clear the centre stand when raised. I tried this on my 1100 and couldn't find a way of fixing the puck to the bottom of the stand without fouling the main stand. I ended up cutting the puck down so much to stop it hitting the centre stand there was nothing left!

Take stand off bike , get a blow torch n hammer, bend stand out .Re paint stand . job done.
