Side stand?

Can someone please tell me if the side stand on a 2001-2003 gs 1150 is the same as the 2000 model? Need one asap and spotted a good one on ebay. It looks identical. Anyone? thanks

I can't see that they'd be different unless for a GSA or vanilla GS.

Thanks Aidan. It looks the same but listed as 2001 to 2003. Emailed the seller to check, if they indeed know themselves..

BMW's parts fiche only lists one part number for the 1150GS Sidestand. The Adv has a different one, but all GS Lites are the same...

Ok, In a fit of fury I decided to weld up this bloody sidestand! Using a tube with 22mm internal diameter as a sleeve, it fitted the original stand perfectly. I made it 15mm longer than the original and welded the shit out of it. You wont break again! I then cut a v into it and bent it to the required angle and again welded..Body fillers and paint next and it works great, Very sturdy. I also spaced the touratech foot enlarger to reduce the angle of lean even more. Been testing it for last few hours and better than the flimsy original one imo.





Ready to rock and roll! Just need to sort the blooming abs now!

Did minebut put about 40mm in, its ok with ADV shocks, but hooks under the centre stand, so I have to raise centre first.
