Sidekicker

Saw them advertised on NN newsletter.

Was quite interested until I saw the price

Would be interested to hear feedback on the quality though.

Could end up being expensive if it went wrong

The weld half way down will be under immense stress, so I wouldn't be happy trusting it.

For the price the I'd rather carry a small block of wood for when you need to lift the bike up a bit or just scuff the ground down a bit with my boot when I need a bit more lean.

Looks like an overly complicated over priced bit of tat to me. What's wrong with one of Verns sidestand pucks? They cost peanuts and to be fair, if you were parking on soft ground even with one of those sidekicker stands fitted you'd still need a sidestand puck anyway.

I agree. NN's advertise some stuff that at first glance looks like it could be really useful, then you think again - and look at the price - and decide not. I'm thinking of the Nomad tent you can park your bike inside while camping http://www.redverz.com/

Seems a ridiculously expensive solution. I solved it for next to nothing. A bit of scrap plate steel and half hour with anglegrinder.biggerfoot012 (Medium).jpg

Height probs can usually be soved with a bit of rock or something lying about.Puck or flattened coke tin usually deals with very soft ground.

It might be a beautiful piece of engineering capable of dealing with any stresses imposed on it but it seems to have a fundamental flaw. How do you adjust it to the correct height before dismounting? At the price it should be electrically operated hydraulics but it isn't
