Sideways Motorcycle Trailer - Any Good?

Has anyone got or tried on the of these?

It looks interesting but I am sure there must be some drawbacks. What are they like to reverse with for example. Seat might get a bit crushed too if you ratchet it down too hard.

A bit pricey too of course.

I might be a muppet, but how do you get it on their without riding it on,(looks quiet high to walk it up)then doing an emergency stop against the bar, then leaning against what ever is on the side of you, looking at the picture you will need to have a long inside leg to reach the floor on offside of the bike if you lean that way,but then if you do fall that way at least the bike will have a soft landing!!!!!!!!!!

:blast@ Fannykins....
Mick is on about those tow hitch mounted front wheel supports..
Useless on anything with less than 200 kgs tow bar support [ most are twixt 50 to 75 kgms as Mick says :thumb2]
Tried one for my trike,, front wheel weight 180 kgs Useless even on our Wobblybox..
[125kgs noseweight]

Doh:blast

so, you don't want to be putting something like a 650 on the tow ball then?

Hi,

I have just bought a Motolug and a day later towed my GS here to Germany and think its excellent.

I tow many types of trailers as we race cars here, and can say that this is as good to tow as many of our 3 axles trailers.

Sat behind the Caravelle at 70 mph and didn't know it was there

Please elaborate on what I need to have here as spares? I went for the SE+ with a HD axle, wider for more stability, and also the 10" wheels.

Cheers

Can't use the link in post 6, but it sounds like its a towing frame like a mate of mine bought last year. He turned up at mine to collect his bike after I fitted some heated grips for him.
The whole lot fell off the car 100metres down the road. The idiot that made it welded brackets to his genuine VW removeable cast iron tow ball, which all snapped off at the first bump. Resulting in one written off bike.
The geometry is all wrong. Turn through 90deegres, as in turning out of my side road, and the bike virtually lays right over, as in almost flat on the road.
Basically don't touch them.

A week later my mate returned with a brand new motolug. I helped him assemble it, what a fantastic piece of kit they are. True quality. The other guy ended up buying my mates bike off him rather than end up in court.

Personally I have a Brenderup MC2. Just about the only lightweight galvanised trailer that can actually carry two bikes with its 466kg payload. Most of the other lightweights can only take 350-400kg, which isn't really two average bikes.......
