Thinking of buying a pair of Sidi Couriers online.

Can anyone advise if Sidi's sizing is accurate or will I have to go the "1 size bigger" route?

Sidis, like most Italian footwear, tend to be quite neat.

For example, I went into Jim Allan's yesterday to try on the size 43 Daytona Trans Open GTX boots that they'd very helpfully got in for me to try. I'd asked for a 43 on the basis of that being the size of my Sidi Flexforce SRS and coincidentally of the Karrimor KSB walking boots that I'm sitting here wearing at the moment.

The result was that the size 43 Trans Opens were far too big for me and the very helpful guy in Jim Allan's is getting me a size 42 to try next.

Cheers Schtum,

I assume if you are wearing a size 43 Sidi then your normal shoe size is 42?

Hiya, I've just bought a pair of couriers miself! I'm a size 11 and my previous boots were sidi vertibra's (size 46) which were a really tight fit. OK on the bike but no good for walking any distance. When I got the couriers I went for 46 again and found them to be much bigger with lots of wriggle room. The next size up would have been much too big.

Incidentally, have a look at club promoto, I found they were the best price and the delivery was fast:D

Currently £31 on eBay but that won't last. They might finish up around £100.

I'm a size 7 and the boots are size 7 so they may be a bit small for me.

Never had Sidi's before but I take an 8 in Alpinestars & Oxtars.

Agree they are "neat" on the foot - probably about a size smaller than you'd have for your shoes.

I just got rid of mine - for me they were way too stiff, and uncomfortable to walk any distance in. Also, the stitching between upper and sole let in water, and I had to regularly dubbin that area.

But from the perspective of "foot protection" I'd say they were pretty good.

Cheers,

Neil

PS I'm about to buy some Hein Gericke Touareg boots. Anyone know of the latest "best price" websites?

AlpineStars Tech 3 mate (new style). Great boot, really comfy (not waterproof but very little gets in cause they are mainly plastic covered and £135 brand spankin new!!!!!
Look cool, easy to put on (unlike the tech 10's I tried, gave up after 10 minutes (I assume thats why they are called tech 10's!!!)).
I even get them to fit under my trousers so only the feet show (helps keep them dry).
AlpineStars win for me everytime.

One or two sizes up

Normally i'm a 45 in shoes

Sidi Couriers (Trials) 46

Sidi Top Action Evolution (Moto - X Boots) 47

Daytona Roadstar Goretex - 45 or 46 depending the mood whether I like snug or sloppy :D
