I thought you'd all really like to know that I have just been out on the bike for the first time wearing my Sidi Flexforce SRS. I've had them for ages but hadn't tried riding in them, since wearing them around the house and even walking the dog in them convinced me that they wouldn't offer sufficient ankle articulation to be able to change gear and brake properly.

Guess what......I was wrong :o Yes, I find that as hard to believe as I'm sure you do. It's even easier after removing the footpeg rubbers, leaving just the serrated footpegs.

Now, should I buy the Supermoto Slider Kit for the soles...?

I've used these since my supermoto days and like you thought they'd not offer the articulation. After a fiddle with the gearlever angle (Ive left the footpeg rubbers on) they're great , better than my Tech 6's....

However I did have to junk the supermoto sliders and unless you want 200kgs of bike falling over on you as you skate around for grip at the petrol station I wouldn't recommend it!

Top boots. I have no problems with gearchanges in these. If your used to a lot of feel may take some getting used to but I like mine a lot. Ive a NN gear change extender and that locates nicely on the grey pad on the toe for upchanges.

Loads of protection for the ankle, very improtant as damage there can be very serious.
