Fitting those correct Metzeler tyres just really finishes them off perfectly, in my opinion.

They look nice , i couldn't find them for my G/S restoration so went for the Continental TKC 70 .
Not sure if it makes any difference to the handling .
I find the TKC70s much more sure footed but with 40 years plus development in tyre technology I would hope so!
On prices….I have had a first from the Footman James. I have an agreed value for my 999 g/s PD of £15K for a couple of years no. This renewal they asked me to update the photos which I did. They have come back suggesting I up the agreed value to £25k on the basis they could not track one down below this price. So, have done so for a £6 increase in the annual premium.
sounds good to me i have a uk spec 999 g/s pd and have often wondered if its worth selling or hold on to it and at that price i definatly would be selling
The irony of this is that I wouldn’t buy one at that price….but would likely have to part with north of £18k at least based on what I have seen (as opposed to knowing if and what they sold for).
