Simmer Dim 2011 - Shetland motorcycle rally

I've got a ticket for sale if anyone is interested. Would love to go as I had a great time last year, but due to the fecking CSA I cant afford to go this year

I'm disappointed that you're not going to make the Simmer Dim ... when you came back from last years it was the best rally you had been to...

More important I'm disappointed because it will be the first, the last and the only chance the surviving Wheeler's will be in a position to get together. Those few days on Fairisle with uncle Dave, daughters Catriona and Lucy (flying on to Fairisle especially for the get together) Martyn and myself is in all probability our only chance ... ever

We could have all met up at last years simmer dim, or on Fairisle, but YOUR priorities were different (ah, but that's ok!! )
I've got my reasons for not going, both personal and financial, but I'm not going to wash my dirty linen on a public forum.

I'll agree with you that the simmer dim rally is probably one of the best rallies I've been to though.

I had organised a group tour to Germany for that time before you even thought about going to the the Simmer Dim

Ive now given my ticket away to my brother so that he can use the free beer tokens. Make sure he gets you all a beer, on me

Last year we got talking to the lads behind the bar.... If you take your own drinking vessel they'll fill it, so I bought a couple of large jugs, which they filled instead of the plastic pint pots. Absolutely brilliant rally

i tend to find that 25 pints of auld rock and probly a bottle of port is enough for me over 3/4 nights , or am i gettin old .
