It seems the local authorities are all out spending money patching roads at the moment. Traffic lights and road works everywhere. Countless delays today with that and slow-moving nose to tail traffic at times.

One of my favourite loops with my older lad today - Balloch - Tarbet (polite wave to the nice Very Visible man with the speed gun) - Arrochar (how good is the Rest And Be Thankful road) - Inveraray - Oban (nice lunch outdoors by harbour) - then our day was made with a clear run from Dalmally to Tyndrum with NO traffic going our way. Brill!

Scorchio too. Was pretty good all the way home through Lochearnhead - Crieff - Glen Devon.

My first proper run on my recently acquired number 2 steed.

+1 for your route, Dalmally to Tyndrum - one of the best roads for a bike. Did it on Wed. no traffic on the Dalmally run. :thumb2

A good route - for sure...........

As you say - more often tempered by traffic and roadworks.
