Has anyone here ever used Simply Insurance???

My insurance is up for renewal and ebike insurance aren't competitive. I emailed them back telling them i had a few better quotes, about £150 cheaper and would they like to try match/beat it. Promptly emailed me back basically saying no. So they have lost my business this time

I used confused.com and they came up with some very good prices. Best on was for Simply Insurance. Going to give them a call to go through the details, make sure they have everything I want.

Also, when ur filling out the online quotes, if the BMW Alarm/Immobiliser isnt listed, what do you do?

Who makes the BMW Alarm/Immobiliser? Is is made by another brand? Like Meta or Datatool or something? (Just out of interest!)

Simply is a broker. What you really need to know is who is underwriting the policy.

Once you have that information come back for an opinion.

Check T&Cs carefully. E.g. a while ago, I turned down the cheapest quote from Carole Nash as the policy, underwritten by Chaucer, did not include use in Croatia or riding mate's bikes. For an extra £40 I was able to have a policy from Royal Sun Alliance that included the cover.

Try Hastings, I have the GSA and 800GS with them. GSA with 2 years NCD and fully comp £165 and 800 no NCD but fully comp £128. Both good value and at least £40 cheaper than anyone else for me.

Equity Red Star.

Anyone had insurance through them?

Equity Red Star are one of the main players in the bike insurance field. They've been around for years. I've used them on and off over the years and never had any problems - although I've never had to claim off them.

Whatever policy you go for, don't forget to make sure that Legal Expenses Insurance is included - normally £10-£20 extra if not already included in the policy. It'll be the best money you'll spend if you have to sue another driver for uninsured losses - clothing, helmet, loss of earnings etc.
