just wondering, has anyone engineered a single spark aftermarket can to fit a twinspark? and if so, whats involved?

as i understand it, the diameter of the connection pipe is the only difference although i'm not sure how much!!!

i think that the hanging/mounting arrangements are the same - the subframe, iirc, was not changed from single to twin sparks]

i ask, because there seems to be more available for the single sparks, and normally cheaper too (always important)

Yup. I've got 03 Remus on my 05 bike. 1mm difference between old and new. Chopped the clamp off the remus which made both the same diameter then had a 75mm long sleeve swaged to a really tight fit. Used the original clamp over the joint. Jobs a good un. :thumb2

sounds like a plan.............

did you do it yourself? or do i need to get it done by a specialist?

and as another thought, does anyone know if the downpipe from a single spark will fit directly onto a twinspark?

many thanks

Jim

Yeah, did it myself, really easy. Found a local tube fabricators who made the connector pipe for a tenner.

Not a lot to see really! First pic shows the 2 pipes with the BMW exhaust bracket. Second one shows the exhaust bracket with a 1mm spacer to make it clamp up tight. The sleeve is just wedged inside both ends of the pipes. Excuse the mud, not had chance to clean the darn thing since the weekend. :augie
