3 weeks ago now, filtering through traffic in North London a car strays over white line and the front of his car hit my engine bars and casing. I went over handle bars.
His car was a right off the 1200 is getting repaired.
I walked away with a few bruises and some ripped Rallye trousers.
I`m convinced that on any other bike I would have lost my leg at least.
The engine bars where forced into the engine casing.
Lost my bottle for a bit so wont be riding till I find it again ( and get the bike back)
Go steady the rest of you.

Sorry to hear that chief, looks like the Rallye trousers did the job for you ;)

When you find your feet again I'll have to take a ride out over the hill to you!

Take care,
Dan :thumb

Glad to hear you are ok Gary. Looks like the Peak district falling off practice stood you in good stead :D

You're catching up with Tuned. he does more miles on his arse than he does on the bike...eh Tuned :thumb

Give us a tinkle or PM when you're better and the bike is back - and we'll go for a nice ride in God's riding country - tarmac only though, you nutter

Seriously

:thumb2

Glad you're OK Gary. Your bottle will be back (probably shortly after your bike)!

T>

Bugger, bad news about the bike mate but at least your ok:thumb

As soon as you get it back we'll have to have a day off road to get you back into it. Bit like falling off a horse, you need to get back on asap or you just end up dwelling on it and never doing it.

Giz a bell next time your up home:beer: :D

It's always a worry when we hear about one of you simple lot from the countryside coming into London to ride.....it's only a matter of time! :(

Seriously though, glad yer OK Gary......London can be a very dodgy place to ride and it sounds like you got away with it lightly :thumb2

I went over handle bars.

Shame you couldn't fly straight through his screen (without getting injured yourself naturally) and headbut the ar****le in the face with a nice safe helmet.

He may have learned to look where he was going then. Better still he may have been rendered incapable of ever driving again.:spitfire

Your bottle will probably be found as soon as the sun comes out and prior to your bike being fixed.:D

Cheers lads, I`m sure I`ll find the bottle again when I lay eyes on my bike.

Up next weekend Ian so I`ll pop in the stags.:beerjug:

Sorry to hear this Gary hope you're ok. Been out on the DRZ today -great fun and amazing what it'll do with me hanging on for grim death. Lot easier to pick up than a 12 tho'

So am i right in thinking sky, because you spend so much time looking up into it and god, wot the fvck happened:D. Glad your oreight.

Spent 2 hours going 9 miles in the cage today in that London so I think my bottle will return soon.

Have you found your Bottle yet ? If not,i can get as many as you want from our Dairy !!

Seriously,Glad you were not too badly Crocked. You may surprise yourself with getting back on 2 wheels. Some time ago,i got Punted off my C90 coming home from Work.13 Weeks off with Broken left ankle.Got mobile 2 days before going to the TT.In July the same year,I Binned a ZX9R and broke my Collar bone.2 days after this,i lost the Best Mate i ever had ,in a crash on the Island.I was off for 4 weeks while the collar bone mended, during which time, the 9R was repaired.I thought long and hard about Biking as a result of my 2 crashes and the one that took Barry.I could not face riding the repaired 9R,but Traded it in for a Replacement.I am still riding.

Bottom line is,EVERYONE will be offering Support, but you need to feel OK,so go out on your own or with a Mate,go somewhere familiar,go at your own pace, and build from there.Best of luck Mate !
