I snowboard (when I get the chance to anyway!) I've read with interest the various posts on Air Hawks & Sheepskins ect for saving that numb bum.

But as anyone tried impact shorts for winter sports? I borrowed some in the Alps last year, fantastic for high-speed tumbles, they did not hurt :clap

But been wondering, they might actually work quite well for long-haul bike trips?

Padding is in the right place, anyone else tried it?

it would improve my Hunchback Of No Renown look after a long day in the saddle! :blast

If you think the padding's in the right place, then you must have a very strangely shaped arse. I don't know which bit of your arse contacts the bike seat but mine certainly isn't that bit.

I've got a pair of Knox Cross Shorts which have hip, upper thigh and coccyx protection pads but they do nothing for comfort on the arse / seat interface.

A good pair of cycling undershorts is another matter......:thumb2
