Slip-on/ Full Exhaust system advice.

Hi, a friend of mine is getting his 1200GS in a couple of weeks and seeks advice on best option for exhaust replacement. As an 1150 owner I have not paid much attention to the 1200 forums so any advice/opinions/experiences would be appreciated. I don't meen to be pushy but as he will probably only keep it for about two months a prompt response is required!! Thank you.

If you use the search facility you will find lots of useful information.

So far as full systems are concerned I can help with:

Remus, reasonable price may have a lean running issue which won't bother your mate if he only keeps bike for 2 months. Power increase, sounds good, removeable/replaceable baffle.

Ackropovich, expensive, reportedly huge power hike, well developed and sounds really good.

Bos system, can't comment much but has good reviews.

I think the Akrapovic makes sense as you can pick them up new for £1000, by the time you've brought a full remus then sorted out the fueling it'll end up costing more than the Akra and take up more time etc... Also its not as well made etc etc.
