Hi,
I have a 2010 GS and am going to fit the BMW Adventure slipstream deflectors. Seems Motobins stock the genuine parts with one exception. Some sort of M5 nut is required but for the life of me I can not find it in any of the microfiches.
I know that the earlier bikes had a different frame under the bodywork and required an additional mounting arrangement but my 2010 GS has the same frame underneath as the GSA, I can clearly see the frame with the two holes for the attachment as can be seen in the attached image.
Any ideas folks, guessing it should be some sort of captive nut.

Thanks MWH
I think this, 4 in total, is what you are missing? Look at motorworks pt.no.46637694548 it's called various things, flat nut, c nut, captive nut, to give you an idea. You need a 5mm one but they come in various lengths so you will have to talk to them to get the right one. Sorry can't get mine to come out to get a measurement without all taking it apart as there is some mastic holding it in place and it's dark out there and flipping cold...
Regards
Stan

Thanks BMstan for taking the time. I figured it would be a captive nut, I ordered these from motorworks
