Hi all,

Sometimes I see these models out and about town and I'm asking myself "Is that smaller than the 2012 Iron 883 I tested earlier, this year?"

Are these 883s from 1986 - 2003 models or even earlier? They look great though!

If I were to look into getting one, which ones are the best models and which years are the ones to look for?

I guess ease of maintenance, anything lighter than 251kg are factors & comfortable rides are the only considerations for me. ...At the minute, I've spent so much time researching and saving-up for the F650 I've got I'm kinda looking for something fun, or different, to ride now and again :)

Lab.

The 883 is the smallest bike in the range. The only difference between the models is suspension height and tank size really. :nenau

The 48 looks smaller because of the tiny tank, however it is a 1200 and über cool :cool

Neat! :D -Thanks Mutley. ..I've got a funny feeling I might have mistaken it for something else, then. Oh dear, really embarrassed now! :D
