Smoke screen

Right, I think the looks of my 12GSA would look far better with a smoked or dark screen. However I don't want to give up the coverage and look that the standard screen provides. Any suggestions?

I don't think it would work for me. The screen already bothers me at low speeds picking my way through rocks etc.

Worth a check with your BMW dealer. Think the R1200GSA screen is available in clear or tinted. Just what I overheard in my local dealers the other day.
Sorry don't know the part number but he did say the smoked screen was cheaper . There again he may have been talking complete nonsense or my radar ears weren't working correctly .

I know BM offer a dark screen as an optional extra for the 1200GS so could be worth an enquiry.

If not how about hgiving one of the professional window tinting companies a bell? I had the windows of the cage done when I got it and it's not like the old days when you bought a roll of film from Halfords.

The crowd that did mine are out near the Maze, can't rember the name but they did one hell of a job and 5 windows was about £275 from memory.

Check the Mellow Pages and give them a ring, would be less than a BMW screen I'd say.

here's an idea:

Go to Halfords and get some tint vinyl, - sold in rolls. It is not so easy to put on but if you buy a large-ish roll you can have a few attempts. Put it on the inside, - the trick is to get out al of the air bubles.
