I've managed to knock one of my mirrors and the 8mm clamp that holds it in place has literally shattered. These seem quite brittle and are probably designed to break in the event of an off instead of trashing the mirror every time .... 
A replacement clamp/bolt from BMW costs almost a tenner
I've took the hit and ordered one but just wondered if anyone else had used any alternative 8mm clamp to secure the mirrors that are maybe a little cheaper??
I honestly expected to pay about £3! being a tight Yorkshireman and all that!!
