Snells - Ducati in Alton

Bahnstormers don't do MOTs so it was off to Snells in Alton.

Painfully polite when I was booking the MOT, conveniently placed next to the railway station and professional in their approach when I arrived. Want to leave your leathers and helmet while you go to work sir? No problem just pop them in this crate and we'll put them in a cupboard.

The only downside is that I was "forced" to spend nearly half an hour dribbling over their stock when I returned to collect late afternoon. I know our bikes are effective - but there wasn't a single bike there that you wouldn't want to take home. And as for the Paul Smart replica they've got...

Snells have a very good reputation among the Ducati crowd.

I did the same, it was Snells that finished off my Ducati dream, not their fault I suppose, but the cost of a big service and the cam belt change makes BMW dealers service costs look very cheap in comparison.

Snells are a great company and, as you say, very polite. - i have bought two bikes from them and they have only just started calling me by my first name rather than "ma'm"

You will not regret trying the Hypermotard . It is a fantastic bike, probably like nothing you have ridden before - but not much use for touring. I had one for a while and have just changed it for a new F650GS - the Hyper runs rings around the GS and i still miss it but has such a small fuel tank and less luggage /pillion carrying capacity so it is no use for what I need.

Have fun and enjoy the test ride. Don't worry about the weather either - it handles fantastically even in monsoon-like downpours.

Snells are a fantastic dealer with Xceptional service. I came from Ducati to BMW, and I have to say that Snells are by far the best dealer I've ever encountered.

That said Bahnstormers are pretty good, probably 2nd only to snells.

Bahnstormers will take your bike to be MOT'd if you leave it wih them for a service - they did this for this year (May time). There is a charge, but for me it was worthwhile.
