Trippy made one a little while ago for his deep water exploits, he has'nt gone a deep as Mouse yet
I think all he used was a old vacuum cleaner hose cut to length, and wire coat hanger to stiffen it, and to hook into the air intake and onto handlebars i think
I am in the process of trying to make a snorkel for my 1200, for obvious reasons
However there isn't much free room at the front end to run a tube through, so haven't made much progress yet. The tube I was experimenting with was air inlet hose from a car, but that might not be 100% watertight, as it's just made from coiled up aluminium foil, effectively.
I was trying to make one a long while back - I gave up when I couldn't find suitable hose. You'd also have to cut the air intake back a bit or hack a chunk out of the panel for clearance. I note that there is a photo of one on p236 of the latest TT catalogue and also I saw mention that TT are trying to come up with a version (can't find that bit of text now).

Yep I made one. About 2ft of hoover hose with 2 wire coat hangers straightened out with a hook on one end of each so they spring out inside the pipe and then just bend it to shape. Pipe was perfect fit and just pushes 6" into the air intake and bends up around the side of the tank raising the air intake 10". Haven't used it yet though.
And yes I did then have to throw the hoover out. What a tw*t!
A 300TDI Land Rover Discovery, Non EGR, Turbo top pipe is perfect for a 1100/1150 snorkel, it even follows the profile of the tank above the cylinder. You just need another tube to push in and run up the front of the tank.
