Snow Forecast. Leave Bike At Home Or Are There Tyres?

He's either a brilliant rider or he's cruising towards a horribly broken leg riding with his foot down as a stabiliser.

Definitely a nutter, good on him.

it don't matter how skilled you are on the snow and ice, your only as safe as the numpty behind you.the last lot of proper snow we had I had the misfortune to be following a gentleman from india or similar in a new range rover spinning completely 360 degrees probably never seen snow before or the worst driver in the world or both.I'm trying to keep 44 ton of tanker rolling,if an idiot like that hits you your bolloxed.leave your bike at home, get a cab, ring in sick, take a days holiday!

So, despite an evident lack of skill he was completely safe because of the numpty behind him . . . . . . :D;)

Do you think a Piaggio MP3 could be modified so you can leave the front end locked (tripod mode) to get through snow, then use as normal up into London? (thinking out loud....)

If i got one you could ride on a car licence, i might be able to get the Mrs out on a bike too.....hmmm

Doubt you can leave it locked in tripod mode, I have a 250cc version and have ridden it in snow, carefully mind you. I think winter tyres are available for these but not sure where they're available in UK. The ones you want for using on a car licence are the LT models, they're slightly different. They are OK, but I do have rather more empty roads up here to ride on.

Ive ridden in snow loads of times- to be honest it can be a lot of fun- but wouldnt like to do it with traffic around me.

Learn how to pick your bike up first.
