So aircooled boxer isn't stopped..

They first said that they will fix it in 2 weeks so I took the bike and had if for three months. But I couldn't have insurance on it. I talked to them again and they said it will take much longer time to fix the problems so they wanted to give me new bike instead. But they were about to have 2500$ discount on GS and I told them I just want my money back.
I returned the bike and got money back.

Now I can buy same GS triple black for 2500$ less or I can wait few more months and get new one for 10000$ more.

Buying the older one would give you a whole load of travelling money. I think I'd be pretty tempted to go with the oil cooled :thumb2

Read my previous posts, I never said there were extra bevel gears I said there wasn't extra bevel gears. What you quoted is talking about standard straight gears to change from shafts.

you're right you know :)

Without a doubt I would go for the older bike. I am not familiar with money in your country but it seems that there is a big difference in price which probly will not be as much in a few years so buy the non water cooled one JJH

Go for the old model - that's a big difference in price :thumb

I will, definitely go for a air and oil one !
It is very exiting when a new model comes out but in the back off your mind you always think that you didn't made the right choose , specially when everything starts to get wrong and no one as a clue how to fix it .
Go for triple black , is a good bike and most off the problems has been fixed and improved .
I sometime drive 5000 miles in one week and never broken down or having any fault but don't know how many water cooling ones can do that specially in a beautiful hot country like Brazil :aidan
Good luck :thumb

the water cooled one would suit your climate better imo,hot conditions see the hexhead becoming lumpy and stall prone.

I live in Malaysia, all year have 30+ C and no issues with the heat, my bike is a 2006 with 80K km on it, the humidity does kill batteries though..
