So which one next maybe the last one!

Didn’t they facilitate your desire to buy a BMW?

Set of prats that clearly make enough commission, don’t come back to you when they say they will, don’t have the bike in stock they say they do, but thats ok we have another in central stock I can get you, no call back, ok where is it, must have e sold it, feck em.

Nice to see the same old guard are still as pedantic on here.

Sad job that
No wonder some BMW dealers are struggling at present

I had a RnineT for the day while mine was in for a service (it was the first really naked bike I have ridden) and a lap of Loch Lomond was not enjoyable. There was zero wind/ weather protection, saddle was slippery and I felt like I was wrestling with a giant beach ball for riding position.

As other have said, the OPs intended use would be key to the right new bike.
The r nine series of bikes where the most uncomfortable bike I have ever ridden followed by the r/s variants.

Some interesting comments here, like many on the internet, seem to think that nakeds aren’t suitable or comfortable on long journeys ….I’ve had my R1250R, with sport bars, just over a year and have put 12k on it…many long journeys and totally comfortable. I rode to Cambridge from Turriff the other week in a oner, 560 miles in sunshine, no problem…then 2 weeks later rode from Ypres to Turriff, 750 ish miles also in a oner…started rainy around Lincoln and didn’t stop…It’s obviously a state of mind and mine loves to ride and feel all the elements at the same time. The R isn’t much lighter than the GS on paper but it feels it when pushing it around and low speed… For a bit of context I’m 53 and 6ft 2’’ / 187cm. I’ve done similar on my previous Speed Twin 1200 but the BM as the edge on comfort.

I rented the r nine t in Majorca and really loved it. Had it a week and really couldn’t find a fault. Didn’t ride much on the motorway though and suspect it might be shit there. Guess it comes down to comfort etc for OP.
Sounds like he might be big and short in the leg - so HD wouldn’t be worse choice. New Guzzi V85TT for under £10k option too.
