Here's a nice piece of software that tells you virtually everything that’s in your computer. Operating system and build, Software and Versions, all Drives etc.

Operating Systems: Runs on Windows 95/98/Me, NT 4, Windows 2000, XP and Windows Server 2003.
Browsers: Requires IE 3 or Netscape 3, and higher versions. Also runs on Opera, Mozilla, and Firebird.

i've used aida 32 in the past. very good app. glad to see it's available to download again.
 
Erm.........excuse the ignorance, but why is this useful?. What do these programmes tell you then?.

it will ID all the hardware & software on your PC. some, like SANDRA & aida will test & benchmark some of it too.
