Where does one get these....? - actually found them!

THANKS - zigzagtly what I was looking for!

Me? I decide for myself, in much the same way as I decide which way around to wear my underpants. It's not a 100% reliable method, I grant you.

If you are looking for non waterproof winter socks, then I can recommend the BMW long boot socks. They are knee length, very stretchy, very comfy and warm.
About £13 per pair from your local Motorrad dealer.

Seal Skinz best Christmas pressie from the kids for years. I dropped enough hints:D

I normally wear bed socks.....even though they're not waterproof!!...:):)

And why would you need waterproof socks in bed:rolleyes:. Unless we have a 'Damping-down' problem i suppose.:eek
:D

I use Oxford Thermals, two pair out of HG for about £10.
Thick, plenty of muscle support, warm as slippers.........Great.:)
Have to say, I fancy the Sealskinz. mmmmm

Costco...

... was selling Merino wool socks at Christmas time, I think they were around a fiver a pair, not high enough but VERY warm, and dry up very fast!!!

+1 for sealskinz expensive but cheaper than buying new boots plus they keep you warm and dry.

One of the best pieces of kit I have bought.

REally disappointed :(

Paid for my Sealskins on 26th Jan from Cape Town..... arrived here in LOndon to collect....... and was surpised by.... absolutely buggerall!!!!!

They did not arrive.

Been trying to contact the supplier (don't know whether to name & shame)... left phone messages & email... no reply.

Finally got an email yesterday.... so sorry no stock! :eek ........ funny though that the funds were quickly deducted from my card on the same day i placed the order.........

now they tell me no stock.... 7 - 10days to wait... I leave again on Saturday! :blast

will have to what's at EXCEL today!

A bit off topic, but do you guys not wear gortex boots? Then you dont have to worry about your socks being waterproof;)

Yep - I now have a pair of the Adventure Goretex boots! :thumb2 - so really not that worried about getting the sealskinz - HOWEVER, they do not reply to any of my messages to get a refund... and now I get "invalid email address" messages from their mail server? :blast

If I have not had a response from them by Wednesday (they also don't answer their phone) - I will name & shame to protect others from the possibility of being scammed... I'm also sure that they do not want to mess with some of the UKGSer tossers :augie
