Anyone using soft luggage on their LC without pannier frames, say either Giant Loop or Enduristan?

Well by the lack of response you are all using various or alloy tins to put your paisley slippers in.

All the time great stuff, I use the roll bags, the 38ltr will do for at least 5 nights and the large for a good week plus, all strap on to the motech luggage rack, considered the panniers but no need really these bags do it all.

Hotel mainly, but no reason why you couldn’t camp with the same set up, not that you would need to but you can stack the bags together with the same pair of straps and the utility loops if you want more capacity.

No panniers so far this time around hard or soft.

Do have a big Givi Trekker Top Box and the rest is a variety of bags, BMW holdall, SW Motec Tank bag, Kriega bits and bobs.

Trying to keep it fairly minimal and not needed owt else thus far altho' may splash out for some varios in future as required.

I have varios and a roll bag at the moment, which is fine for road touring. I don't like top boxes and as much as I like the convenience of the varios I don't think they utilise the space that well and prefer soft luggage when on the dirt. I had a coyote on my 701 that worked really well but that is to narrow for the GS seat. Was hoping someone had a Basin, enduristian blizzard or the like fitted.

I had the Mosko Moto reckless 80 on mine. Looked great, beautifully made and very functional. But way too much really for my simple use running down to Starbucks and Asturias.

Bumot Extremadas are an excellent compromise if you’re prepared to have the frames.

Yeah, I don't really want frames.

Even with the enduristan you will need a heat shield if you don’t have frames, that’s why I just went roll bags in the end, the monsoons are really well made but without scaffold or heat shield it’s always a compromise.

GS goes Saturday and this lot will work just the same on the Mutli.

I think I can get away with a basin and no heat shield as it will be further forward on the rear seat.

A combination of both:D

I rely on a Lomo bag as these panniers are shite size wise.....

Another vote for the Moto Mosko stuff - did a 10 day camping trip with mine. Very well designed, very robust and surprisingly stable given they fix on with just 5 straps. Mine were used off road, so bashed about a lot but stayed put and was very easy to pack and unpack.
