;) :) I am trying to sort out some panniers for my bike that hold more than a sandwich! I need at least 40-45 per pannier (80-90 in all) ltrs and I carry small percussion instruments so do not want something that is rgid (hence the need for soft panniers) AND I need to not spend buckets of money...........bathroom and kitchen to put in............need I say more!!
So - can someone let me know if they have tried either the ventura or the Oxford panniers and what they thought?
Caveman - I will probably opt for yours if there aren't any decent soft ones - but £400 plus is a bit of a killer right now.
thanks for peoples thoughts - in advance

I've got a full set of 'CARGO ENDURANCE' soft luggage (topbox as well as side panniers) purchased last August 2004 but only used once and as new.

I've also got a spare 650 BMW supplied tank bag as new.

Cannot post pics tonight as they are in the garage and I'm away all day tomorrow but if your interested have a look on the web and I'll take a decent offer around 60% of new price (I would guess something around £120 for the lot but I'll have to look it up).

the cargo's are brilliant soft luggage

i have some soft oxford panniers and a tail pack that i don't use if you don't want to go for the cargo's...(however they are better than oxford)

Hi - Just make sure whatever you get stays well clear of the exhausts on either side. I've had two sets of Oxford - different styles, but both have ended up too close to the exhaust and end up blending with them in a gooey mess!

Just had a look at the invoices;

1 x Cargo endurance Monster top pack - 46ltr - £80
1 set ditto paniers - 40ltr ea £90

BMW Tank bag £80

£250 to me, £125 to you if you want them ! (plus p&p at that price :)

You're right, but there is a very simple solution & it's free! :thumb

Hi,
have you used your cargo ones on the 650? I am just wanting to make sure that they are OK for the twin exhausts. ;)

I have used Oxford Sport soft luggage, but despite my best efforts to mount them high they still touched the pipes and melted !!!
