I'm looking for a helmet Cam and recorder, but I'd be worried about
the Camcorders not being robust, so I did a search and found this.
It looks to be the best alrounder, seems to be only available in the
US though.

What do ye think, anyone got something like this ?

Hi,
No knowledge of this one, but I know the simple ones are quite hard to use - Oregon has no display so you don't know what you have or have not caught. I beleive you need a bright day for it too.
There is another cheap one which a French guy had in Riyadh, not great.
Best I have seen is from a Sony camera, recording onto tape. Mounting a bit crude.
Bin

Do you have a camcorder at the moment?

Do you take it on your bike? Does it work?

If so, stick with the camcorder, it will be fine. Just make sure it's got the right input sockets and preferably the ability to take a LANC connection. Do a search, loads of advice. Mike P I think did a piece on his system.

If not, a camcorder, stuck in a tankbag will do just fine anyway. Just how much bashing around is it going to get? You won't find many threads on this site bemoaning camcorders not working when people get on thier hol's.

Yeah Bin, I have one of the Oregon units, the quality is poor enough, and as you said you need a bright day for best results.
Too much movement/activity makes the frames jump.

No I don't have a Camcorder, I intend keeping it in a Camel-bak and will be using it for offroad on an XR in Morocco, so I
want something that will be able to take a bit of a knock. It's just that if I go with this setup, I'll be buying two and I wanted
a second opinion. :thumb2
