Some advice from you Scotland dwellers please.

On Saturday I am travelling up to St Andrews on my 1100GS to begin working on The Open. I will be staying in St Andrews for most of the next 8 to 10 weeks. Can anyone tell me where the nearest decent BMW mechanic is should I be unlucky enough to require one?
I am looking forward to some evening rideouts as I did back in 2005. Make a pleasant change to the rather mundane topography of the Fens

As said, there's John Clarks in Dundee (I work for them 3 days a week) in whose workshop I have seen the occasional older machine - the last one I remember was an R1100RT, and they'd happily work on them, but you'd still be paying them modern workshop technician rates.

Sadly I don't know any local independent BMW technicians, but I might know someone who does, I'll ask him.

Oh, and I'm 9 miles north of St Andrews...

Cheers mate. As the kids are off next week my wife and lad are coming up, but after that I will be free to explore!
The 13 year old lad is mad on golf and really `gets` the St Andrews aura.
Whilst on the subject, any tossers with lads who play golf near St Andrews who could take my lad for a game one day as I will be at work most of the time? He has an official CONGU handicap of 18.
