Went away camping up North with Skye last weekend and took a few photos on the trip. Weather was good on Saturday and roads were surprisingly traffic free.
Managed to come across one of C.G.'s favourite viewpoints and can see why.
First time I have photographed Eilean Donan castle from this side.
Some shots of the Castle from the other side
Came across a wee river/waterfall on the way up to Applecross
The view from the top of the pass over to Applecross
Some nice views on the coastal road north from Applecross
Don't have a wide angle lens for my camera so took a series of photos and stitched them together using Canon Photostitch (which came bundled with a Canon Video Camera I have) and here are some examples of what can be achieved. All were shot hand held and using the focus points on my Nikon D40 to line up consecutive shots. I have now found out some more about using Photostitch and looking forward to trying some more shots out. http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/photostitch.htm
We stayed at Sands Holiday Centre which is a Caravan/Camping site with great access to a long stretch of sandy beach a couple of miles West of Gairloch.

The Canon Photostitch software also allows you to output Panorama views as Quicktime movies which you can pan round and gives a sort of 3D view of the subject.
