Over the last 7 days I’ve had 5 Google verification codes sent to my iPhone! :blast
I‘ve not asked for a single one of them.
Do I report this to Google? I’ve already logged into Google on my iPad and made my password a LOT harder to guess.
Any one got any pointers? :nenau

Just make sure to update your password. Force log out of all devices and then setup 2 factor authentication. You should be fine. Only login to devices you need it on.

No it's fine. just click it was me and they will stop ;)

Report it

are these texts actually from Google or a phishing attempt? Is there a handy link for you to click that takes you to a fake website?

I reckon they’re definitely from google because it’s just a verification code. No extra links. I think I must already have the 2 stage authentication and it’s the code they send through so you can log in with it.

the other possibility is that someone with a similar name or phone no. to you is trying to log into their google account but cocking it up

a friend with an email address name.surname@gmail is often getting recovery passwords etc for namesurname@gmail (no dot) to the point the friend even took over the person's Netflix account to try to get the person's attention to stop the fuckwittery.

with the notification , there will be .....was this you ? if not .....

Wife had something similar, some lady in the US with extremely similar email. Receiving emails from her friends too etc.

Actually string1.string2@gmail should be equivalent to string1string2@gmail. It's been that way for ever (and I've just tried it with my own account).
