back home in the eastmids for now
got on my 1150gs today after it had stood for 10 weeks it started ok and when i rotated the throttle grip it made more noise after putting it in gear it went quite fast in a forward direction and then i pulled the lever thing on the right hand side pulled the lever thing on the left side and stamped on the lever with my right foot and it stopped in double quick time. my question is do i need to do anything to it or does this seem ok. the only strange noise i get some times is a loudness in my ear seems to come from the pillon seat area when the wife is sat there. any ideas on how to stop the noise from the wife:nenau

Sounds like you need a set of new clunks for the transmission, I found an old set of moto guzzi clunks at the back of my garage, what do you know they fitted the GS perfectly, only I now have to use a special type of oil, which is very hard to find, oh well:thumb

With the engine running and the lever on the left pulled in, rotate the throttle grip untill the noise becomes uncomfortable and the rpm needle is in the red. Next ensure there is an unobstructed path in front of you and release the lever on the left in one sharp action.
That should dump any unwanted baggage:thumb

Leave her at home, I used to get this painful stabbing in my ribs when riding but since leaving SWMBO at home its completely dissapeared :D
